We are excited to announce that the Young Lawyers Section of the Broward County Bar Association (YLS) and the B’nai B’rith Justice Unit #5207 will once again sponsor Summer Fellowships with the Legal Aid Programs in Broward. These Fellowships are highly selective and include a paid stipend. The Fellowships will be awarded in March to two top students with the intent of jump-starting their public service careers prior to graduation. The Fellowships are designed to provide them with an opportunity to excel and gain experience and knowledge in the legal profession. The Summer Fellow program is for law school students with an interest in public interest law.
The Young Lawyers Section of the Broward County Bar Association sponsors a Fellowship each summer with the Legal Aid Programs in Broward. The YLS Fellow will spend 6 weeks at LAS/CCLA working directly with clients and staff attorneys. The Fellowship will take place during a mutually agreed upon and consecutive 6-week period between May 4, 2020 and August 28, 2020, and the Fellow will receive a $2,500 stipend. Hours are 9 am – 5 pm Monday-Friday with a one-hour lunch.
