Created in 2014 to recognize those who embody the “spirit” of the work done by CCLA and LAS and to commemorate the 20th and 49th anniversaries of each respectively.
Created to celebrate those who have demonstrated a life-long dedication to ensuring access to justice for all.
Established by CCLA in 2011. The award honors members of the community whose work reflects and embodies the mission of CCLA to improve the lives of low-income persons in our community through advocacy, education, representation, and empowerment.
This award seeks to recognize the amazing work and efforts made by notable staff members of Legal Aid Programs in Broward (LASBC or CCLA).
Given annually to an advocate whose actions exemplify a personal and professional commitment to making justice available to the poor and disadvantaged. The Award was named after its first (1998) recipient, Mr. Carlisle himself. He was the first chairperson of the LAS Board of Directors in 1974.
Created to honor those who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to serving the community and making the Broward County area a better, and more just, place to live, for all.

The mission is to provide high quality free civil legal advice, representation and education to the poor of Broward County so as to improve the lifestyle and living conditions of the low-income community and to encourage self-sufficiency.
Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida is a not-for-profit law firm established in 2003 and funded, in part, by the Legal Services Corporation. The mission is to improve the lives of low income persons in our community through advocacy, education, representation and empowerment.
