March 30, 2024: Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) Attorney Victoria Sexton awarded EmpowHER Humanitarian Award from Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick for her work with survivors of human trafficking.


March 5, 2024: Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) won the 2024 Non-Profit of the Year Award for Collaboration at the 13th Annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards hosted by 211 Broward, celebrating the achievements of their Senior Citizen Continuum of Care Project with Goodman Jewish Family Services, funded by The Jim Moran Foundation, helping prevent homelessness for Broward County’s vulnerable seniors.


February 7, 2024: Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida’s (CCLA) Continuum of Care Project is named as a finalist for Truist’s Non-Profit Organization of the Year for Collaboration in the 13th Annual Community Care Plan Non-Profit Awards hosted by 211 Broward. CCLA’s Continuum of Care project is a collaboration with Goodman Jewish Family Services that helps prevent homelessness for Broward County’s vulnerable seniors.


October 27, 2023: CCLA’s RISE Project received the Broward Domestic Violence Council’s Outstanding Program of the Year during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The RISE Project helps victims of crime assert and enforce their victims’ rights in the criminal cases against their abusers.


May 16, 2023: CCLA received Goodman Jewish Family Service’s 2023 Community Partner Award at their 61st Annual Meeting. CCLA’s Senior Citizen Law Project’s provides advocacy for clients thorough our Continuum of Care partnership. This partnership is funded by the Jim Moran Foundation.


May 3, 2023: CCLA was recognized as a Top Workplace by the Sun-Sentinel. This award celebrates nationally recognized companies that make the world a better place to work together by prioritizing a people-centered culture and giving employees a voice. The Top Workplaces award is based entirely on feedback from an employee engagement survey completed by the employees of participating workplaces.


April 28, 2023: Paul Yune, Attorney with CCLA’s Family Law & Victims of Crime Unit, received the Victim Advocate Professional of the Year Award at the Broward Victim’s Rights Coalition’s 2023 Annual Luncheon. Paul represents victims to assert and enforce their victims’ rights in the criminal cases against their abusers.
