FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida proudly celebrates Lisa G. Goldberg, Executive Director, and Katianna Mazard, Director of Operations & Management, for being recognized as Florida Trend Women Leaders in the Law. This esteemed recognition highlights their exceptional contributions to the legal profession and their tireless dedication to advancing justice for underserved communities.
Lisa G. Goldberg has been a cornerstone of the South Florida legal aid community for over 40 years. As Executive Director of Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, Lisa leads with a vision of expanding access to justice for vulnerable populations. Prior to her current role, she served as Director and Supervising Attorney of the Family Law and Victims of Crime Unit for 16 years, during which her team was twice honored with the Outstanding Program Award by the Broward Domestic Violence Council and received the Ending Abuse Award from Jewish Family Services.
Lisa’s dedication to survivors of intimate partner violence has been instrumental in shaping innovative legal programs, including the Family Court Self-Advocacy Program at the Central Broward County Courthouse. Her work has garnered numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Broward’s Top Women Leaders in 2022 and the NSU Law Alumna of the Year in 2018. Lisa holds a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Katianna Mazard, a vital force in legal aid since 2004, has devoted her career to supporting the elderly population of Broward County. As Director of Operations & Management, Katianna has led the development of groundbreaking programs, such as Florida’s first mobile law office, the Mobile Justice Squad, which provides critical legal assistance to homebound and disabled clients.
While in her previous role as Director of the Senior Law Unit at Coast to coast Legal Aid of South Florida she litigated complex real estate scams and mortgage fraud cases, recovering homes and attorney’s fees for defrauded clients. Katianna’s efforts to secure funding for transformative projects, including the Senior Continuum of Care Grant, have strengthened Coast to Coast Legal Aid’s ability to serve vulnerable seniors. A Haitian-American immigrant and proud member of the Broward community, Katianna is also a respected advocate for educating the Haitian community about civil legal rights through local media outreach.
