Marie’s petition for injunction

Background

We were contacted by Marie, a senior client late on a Thursday afternoon who had a hearing the following Monday on her petition for injunction for protection against domestic violence.

Marie, a 70-year-old single woman, had been physically attacked by her son and came to us seeking representation at her upcoming hearing.

Assistance

Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the staff and cooperation from the victim advocate at the local police department, we were able to have everything ready in time to represent the client at her hearing at 9 am on Monday morning.

Why it Matters

The hearing was successful, and the judge granted our client’s request for a permanent restraining order. We all celebrated how our timely efffort made a positive impact in Marie’s life!
