Hal Eckard

Hal Eckard is a financial professional with over 30 years of experience.  In early 2023, Hal began his career with Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) as Controller. He became Interim Chief Financial Officer, then Chief Financial Officer. Hal built the foundation of CCLA’s inaugural Fiscal Department and established the core values of the accounting department. Hal collaborates closely with the Executive Director and Senior Management team to accurately guide the integrity of program compliance, as well as the responsible stewardship of grant funding.

As Chief Financial Officer, Hal provides oversight for every aspect of CCLA’s finances, and is responsible for budget management, financial statement preparation, and year-end audit guidance. Additionally, Hal ensures adherence to Legal Services Corporation’s “Policies and Procedures”. Hal delivers quarterly financial statements to the “Financial Oversight Committee” and is responsible for guiding and informing the Board Members of CCLA’s financial position.

Prior to joining the Management Team at CCLA, Hal accumulated a vast array of knowledge and experience. Hal successfully performed every aspect of financial and fiscal accounting services for a wide range of businesses such as “Turnpoint Services” and “Florida 595 Travel Center”. Hal provided Consulting and Accounting services for “Allied Richard Bertram Yachts” and “Your Healthcare Centers”, another 501(c)(3) Corporation. Hal understands the importance of CCLA in our community and is committed to taking care of the finances, helping CCLA fulfill its mission.
