Board Member Profile: Travis Ruane
Being from a small town, Travis Ruane knows the importance and how much of an impact a non-profit resource has on a community. He was looking to get involved with organizations that make a real difference when a colleague approached him about an open board position with Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA). In May 2022, Travis was appointed to serve as the CCLA Board Treasurer.
As an experienced financial advisor and shareholder at Associated Investor Services, Travis’ efforts focus on helping individuals and businesses develop solutions tailored to their specific needs. He specializes in wealth management and retirement planning. When there could be many bumps in the road and challenges, it is Travis who helps individuals and businesses strategize to come up with a customizable game plan that makes sense for them.
Travis joined the CCLA board aiming to contribute to our mission of improving the lives of low-income residents of Broward County. His expertise in finance and budget planning will play a key role in CCLA’s objective to provide high-quality free legal services to those who need them most. He leans on years of experience as a financial advisor to serve as Board Treasurer where he will help manage budgets and plans for different initiatives.

Travis grew up in a small town in Central Pennsylvania but has called South Florida home for over a decade. He and his wife Alex reside in Plantation, where they enjoy an active lifestyle and are looking forward to starting a family. Travis earned his MBA/MSSM from Barry University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. He also holds his FINRA 6, 7, & 66 securities licenses. Travis has previously served on the board of several organizations, including Nicklaus Children Hospital Young Ambassadors, American Lung Association, and Barry University Alumni Board of Directors.
